Artist Statement
After traveling to the remote corners of the earth investigating the symbolism and legends of individual societies my hope is that the result is a range of imagery that departs from the traditional representation of a specific place or time. The work is about the land in the old sense, a realm where ancient stories are told and retold, and where travel occurs in the spiritual realm as well as the physical. They become signposts pointing to adventure on an uncharted course.
